Welcome to the website of London based consultant Diane West.
An independent consultant with over 30 years’ experience of working in the third sector. Diane works with both grassroots community organisations and funders who support the third sector. She is passionate about improving skills of staff, volunteers and trustees, improving governance and supporting small/medium sized groups to offer a high standard of service to the communities they serve.
Examples of how people use Diane’s skills, knowledge and experience:
- Design and delivery of a Leadership Programme for a national charity training new potential trustees to serve on Trustee Boards.
- Fundraising from trusts and foundations. Assisting in funding applications and securing grants ranging from £10,000 to £350,000.
- Managing people (staff, volunteers and trustees). Diane can offer a mentoring or support role for the lead person/manager or work with the committee on organisational change.
- Facilitation of away days or planning sessions. Diane can design and lead the team on the delivery of an organisational planning or action planning session.
- Project management. Diane can help at all stages from consultation to delivery, seeking funding or reporting on a project over a period of time to a funder.
- Interim management. From time to time, Diane has worked in interim management roles for a fixed period to undertake a comprehensive review of governance, systems and structures or to assist Trustees to navigate through a period of change.
- Delivery of training on a wide range of topics.
