Diane can deliver friendly and informative sessions. They can be over a half or whole day or even a couple of hours as part of your meetings. Topics can include;

  • Legal Structures:  An introduction to Charity/Company/Community Interest Company & Charitable Incorporated Organisation status and offer guidance making the right choice.
  • Financial management; An introduction to managing money, the systems and structures that need to be in place in order to govern well.   This includes; developing a project or organisational budget, day to day practice in managing income, expenditure and reporting to your board of Trustees or funders.
  • Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations; from fundraising for beginners to writing funding applications, finding the right funder for you and development of a comprehensive funding strategy for the organisation.
  • Organisational Planning. This session involves exploration of the tools to support planning including; planning cycles, SWOT analysis, development of annual action plans and deciding strategic direction.  
  • Monitoring and Evaluation. Measuring the impact of your services, looking at the range of methods and designing a system that is complimentary to your organisation and its current capacity.
  • Managing Your People Well.  In this training event, we explore the building blocks that need to be in place to recruit and support people. From how to recruit a new worker or volunteer/trustee,  to the contents of supervision sessions. This is popular for people managing others for the first time or a chance to reflect on the way your organisation manages its staff, trustees and volunteers.
  • Setting up Your Community Organisation (Comprehensive overview of all areas to consider).
